Perseids meteors have returned! By 12th Ogos 2009, the amount of meteor from the radiant named Perseids will accumulate from day to day. reports from the International Meteor Organization shows that in average, till now, 10 meteor per hour have been spotted. And the amount is expected to rise to 200 meteor per hour by 2pm Malaysian time on 12th Ogos 2009.
Though, the presence of the moon will deter the shower process. In the night of 12th Ogos, the moon will come out in the middle of the night, so our windows for the shower is only for a couple of hours starting after Isya' (after 8.39pm)
Nonetheless, this chance is not to be missed!
The Perseids Meteors came from the collection of dusts of comet Swift-Tuttle, and every 12th Ogos, earth's orbit will move through the thickest dust environment that produces meteor shower..
Lets chase Perseids!
